Janelle Cissell is a storyteller and humorist based out of Indianapolis, IN. Cissell wrote for many publications and blogs including her own brand, Ruby Leonne.
Cissell received her bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Indiana University. Her passions includes DEIB in higher education, research in gender and sexuality in hip-hop and Black historical music, and being a musicophile. A lover of slow fashion, Gen X pop culture, cannabis, the moon and crystals, sexuality, and pleasure.
She lives with her two needy and irresponsible roommates, Brady Lynne (her cat) and Glow (her turtle).
